The Rev. Drew Himes
Greetings and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am a transplant to this area, having been born and raised in rural Northeast Ohio (one stop light kinda place). I graduated from Westminster College in 2009 where I took my Bachelor of Arts in Religion. I then studied at Princeton Theological Seminary for one year and transferred to Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, taking my Master of Divinity in 2013. While I was in Seminary I took my Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, also in 2013. After graduating I worked for a large non-profit health agency in Pittsburgh as an adult outpatient therapist. I specialized in substance addiction, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and a few other mental disorders.
I was called to the Plumville and Atwood Presbyterian Churches and was ordained a Teaching Elder and installed as Pastor of both congregations in September 2015.
I currently serve on the Presbytery Polity Task Force which allows me to be part of discussions on governance of the church. I am also a part of the Faith Team Subcommittee for Disaster Response and Preparedness of the Indiana County Department of Health and Human Services, the Marion Center Area Ministerium, and a member of the Citizens' Ambulance Service Corporate Board of Directors. I am also pleased to provide volunteer chaplain services to the residents and staff of St. Andrew's Village in Indiana.
My wife Brady, who serves as a Social Services Coordinator at St. Andrew's Village, and I live here in Plumville.
If I can be of any assistance to you, do not hesitate to drop me a line under the "Pray With Us" tab of our website or call the church.
May God be with you!
